2014 Group Discount Policy
Discounts Apply to Full Main Conference Registration Only.
Group discounts do not apply to student or presenter rates.
10% discount for groups of 5 to 9 registrants
15% discount for groups of 10 or more registrants
Steps to receive your group discount code
How to register once the discount code is assigned
Registering Online: Complete the registration form. When you get to the payment page, there will be a box for a promotional code.
Each person will enter the same group code and click “APPLY.” It will deduct the percentage off the main conference fee only.
Registering by Fax or Mail: Registering by fax or mail: Complete registration payment form and enter the group code in the appropriate space and take the correct deduction. (Remember that the percentage off only applies to the main conference fee).
Registering by phone: Call the CAIET office at 416-221-5639 and we will help you through the process
Q: How soon must I register for the conference once a group is formed?
A: You have 10 days from the time the first person registers. Group leader collects all the names and gets the code. The group leader should inform everyone what the code is. You should start the 10 day clock at that point because there is no way to know when the first person registers.
Q: Can four people register for the conference at one point and then add a fifth person at a later date to make a group?
A: You cannot form a group post hoc. (Try to get a fifth person for your group, call in and get the code and then register.)
Q: If I have a group of five people and get the code, can a sixth or seventh person join our group after the fact?
A: Yes! You are welcome to give them the same code you used. But you cannot upgrade to the 15% discount after you have already used the 10% off code. However, you can only do this for a limited time. Groups are closed 10 days after the first person in the group registers.
Q: What happens if not everyone in the group registers and we drop below the threshold for the discount?
A: In such an event, everyone in the group will need to pay the higher rate. The office will notify you if this is the case. For example, if you had 10 people in your group and got a 15% discount, but only 8 or 9 actually sign up, the group rate drops to 10% and each person will have to pay the difference.
